The Derbyshire Economic Partnership (DEP), formed on 1 November 2009, brings together public, private and third sectors to facilitate an effective and co-ordinated approach to economic development across Derbyshire.
Following on from the work of the Derby and Derbyshire Economic Partnership (DDEP); the DEP is charged with taking forward the effective governance of funding to support economic regeneration in Derbyshire, in particular single programme funding awarded to the County by the East Midlands Development Agency (emda).
Working in Partnership across Derbyshire our aim is to stimulate, develop and bring forward a range of sustainable economic opportunities and improve the prosperity and overall environment for businesses, communities, individuals and visitors.
From the rolling hills of the High Peak in the north, to the National Forest in the south, we work with our partners to make sure sustainable economic growth hits no artificial boundaries. We aim to create an exciting and prosperous environment in which to live, work and play.
