New Mills & Whaley Bridge Market Towns Manager
With both the Whaley Bridge Regeneration Partnership and the New Mills Town Partnership putting together action plans for their future redevelopment, the time had come where there was nothing more they could do with only volunteer time and precious little resources. However, with the help of the DDEP the two Peak District market towns are sharing a Manager to help put these plans into operation.The approach has already proved a success locally, with dedicated staff working to support the implementation of similar plans in Glossop, Buxton and Chapel-en-le-Frith. Now the new Manager, who reports to High Peak Borough Council, is able to maximise opportunities for local people, business and visitors to invest in the towns and, to create enthusiasm and encouragement for local people to take control of their communities' future.
