CAL - Dimple Central Area Leisure
DEP has joined forces with emda to provide a £3.6million grant towards the £15M Leisure Complex the Dimple, between Matlock and Darley Dale. This scheme is regenerating a former brownfield site to create the state-of-the-art community facility. The Centre will include a swimming pool and a multi use games area. It will benefit people living in the surrounding rural areas, as well as add to the tourism offer in the sub-region. Once complete, it will allow The Lido, Matlock's existing and outdated leisure facility to close, freeing up a further prime development site in the town.The project has been awarded £1.5m by DEP.
