Buxton Pavillion - Phase One - Paxton Suite
Work continues on the regeneration of the Buxton Pavilion Paxton Suite. The aim is to create a financially sustainable multi-user space. The project will expose the original ceiling and balcony and will allow the space his will be used as an events space and a conference hall.
The renovated auditorium and new Studio Theatre will house both one off events and provide a venue for the regular events and festival programmes that take place at the Pavilion Gardens and the Opera House.
The renovation of the Paxton Suite is a unique opportunity for Buxton, one of Derbyshire's key tourist destinations. DEP investment will help make the Pavilion Gardens more economically sustainable as the facility will in the future be used for so many different types of function.
The renovations will be completed this year.
The project has been awarded £893,393 over three years by DEP.
