The Delph Project

Work on transforming a public space in a Derbyshire town at a cost of £1m has recently started on site. The Delph area of Swadlincote will be revitalised by new seating, lights and trees - its first major revamp in more than two decades.
The new square will be constructed in high quality materials, with seating and tree planting, with lighting beneath.
Attractive Yorkstone paving will be installed to give buildings like Swadlincote Town Hall and the Sir Nigel Gresley public house greater prominence.

Once completed, it is expected that the facelift will boost visitor numbers, improve conditions for businesses and help Swadlincote Market to flourish and grow.

The project has been awarded £660,400.00 by DEP.
