North East Derbyshire Infrastructure Development Officer
The project aims to bring about the development of the infrastructure of the towns of Dronfield and Clay Cross. The Infrastructure Development has been instrumental in bringing forward two distinct projects to enable the long-term regeneration of the wider economy.These projects are the Callywhite Lane Industrial Estate Development Project in Dronfield and the Clay Cross Town Centre Masterplan Project.The officer is heavily involved in the £22m regeneration project taking place at Clay Cross. An application for a retail improvement scheme is being developed for Single Programme Funding to assist local businesses in response to the major investment taking place in the town.
An application for a Business Improvement District for Callywhite Lane Industrial Estate in Dronfield is currently in appraisal at emda. It is anticipated that this funding would help the industrial estate become more sustainable in the long term.
The project has been awarded £130,350.00 by DEP.
