The New Environmental Economy
In a bid to get more companies looking locally for inspiration, the New Environmental Economy (NEE) Project provides support for enterprises to launch new products and services with specific links to the Peak District environment and local economy. The project offers grants up to £20,000 or a maximum of 50 per cent of project costs.
There are two different channels of support available. The first is the mentioned delegated grant scheme available for new products and services , while the second involves engaging with one of seven 'special projects'. These are: Peak District Environmental Quality Mark, Peak District Foods, Peak District Cuisine, Peak District Butchers, Local Farmers' Markets, Great Peak District Fair and the New Environmental Creative Industries. The Project is run by the Peak District National Park Authority, to find out more contact Catriona McClees, Programme Manager on 01629 816257.
