Redundant Rural Buildings Grant Scheme

The Derbyshire Redundant Rural Buildings Grant Scheme aims to encourage the owners of redundant rural buildings, to convert their premises to new economic uses through the availability of financial assistance from the public sector. The scheme will operate throughout the rural areas of the DDEP and the Alliance SSP in Derbyshire.

The definition of redundant rural buildings in this context means buildings that are no longer used / required for their original purpose. To qualify, premises must be either completely unused or unusable in their current state for the purposes for which they are now needed. Most buildings will be eligible, regardless of age, as long as the necessary planning permissions have been obtained prior to application and that they will be used for business purposes once the works are completed.
