Redundant Buildings Grant Scheme
The Redundant Building Grant scheme offers financial assistance to businesses to bring redundant buildings back into economic use.
Grant assistance is provided by the Redundant Buildings Grant scheme to encourage owners of redundant buildings to re develop premises to make them suitable for business use.
The scheme is designed to deliver both economic and environmental benefits by bringing redundant buildings back into productive use and helping to create local employment opportunities.
Potential applicants will need to demonstrate that the newly restored building will provide new business opportunities, particularly workspace, create new jobs and benefit the local economy. The grant is open to a range of prospective applicants including owner occupiers, limited companies, charities and co-operatives.
AT THIS TIME NO FURTHER APPLICATIONS ARE BEING ACCEPTED TO THE SCHEME.
Redundant Building Grants are awarded up to 25% of the total eligible costs of the conversion or refurbishment. The minimum grant available is £10,000 up to a maximum grant of £74,999. Confirmation of planning permission being granted will be required prior to any grant being awarded.
