Market Towns Development Officer
A strategic Market Towns Development Officer post to pump-prime cross-market town regeneration activities.The priority work areas for the post will be to:
• identify and assist with the implementation of a programme
of strategic economic regeneration initiatives to help
improve the vitality and viability of the sub-regions Market
Towns. Priority will be given to supporting master planning
work in key centres, strategic developments which will
deliver clear economic benefits and specific initiatives that
will clearly enhance the role of towns as service centres for
the surrounding rural areas.
• stimulate joint working and co-ordinate strategic
initiatives between towns.
• Assist Market Town Partnerships with development of their
forward strategies and help them to become more sustainable
in their own right.
