Leader in the Peak provides support to help rural business and communities. Parts of Derbyshire can benefit from grants of £2,500 upwards from a new £1.7m funding pot to create more jobs and boost the local economy in rural areas.
Derbyshire Economic Partnership − backed by Derbyshire County Council − has secured £1.7m from the European Union through the Government's Rural Development Programme for England for delivery of LEADER funding.
The aim of the Peak Leader programme is to create more jobs, safeguard existing jobs, attract investment from the private sector to the area and develop community services.
