Hollyhurst Farm Leader case study.
As the third generation to farm at Hollyhurst Farm the family want to improve the farming practice and the welfare of livestock. This project will expand and develop calf housing systems to improve calf performance and monitoring using a computerised calf feeder with EID recognition and EID weigh scales. The project will also improve animal welfare through installation of an automatic cow brush which will also boost the efficiency and output of the farm.
Without the project the farms turnover would increase at a much slower rate, the additional job would not be created.
